Why We’re Introducing Q Connect

At Q Laboratories, we are always looking for ways to improve the client experience while creating more efficient, streamlined processes behind the scenes.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the client experience and service efficiency, Q Laboratories is preparing for an upgrade to our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and sample submission process in late Q3 to early Q4 of this year. If the project timeline shifts for any reason, the upgrade would be deferred to 2027 to avoid implementation during the holiday season.

This upgrade will introduce Q Connect, our new digital client portal designed to simplify and modernize the way clients submit and manage samples with Q Laboratories.


 

Moving Toward a More Streamlined Process

For many laboratories and quality teams, managing sample submissions through paper forms and manual processes can create unnecessary delays, back-and-forth communication, and administrative complexity. Q Connect was developed to help simplify that experience.

With Q Connect, clients will have access to a more centralized and user-friendly digital submission process designed to:

  • Reduce time spent managing submission paperwork
  • Improve organization and visibility throughout the submission process
  • Simplify communication between teams
  • Create a more consistent and efficient submission experience
  • Support a smoother overall workflow from submission through testing


Upon launch, Q Connect will become the standard method for sample submissions at Q Laboratories as we transition away from paper-based forms.

By modernizing the submission experience, Q Connect is intended to reduce administrative burden while improving efficiency, accessibility, and overall usability.

Q Connect Registration FAQ

Are the emails requesting my information legitimate?

Yes. These communications are being sent because your organization is a Q Laboratories client. To access Q Connect, each individual user must register separately using the Google Form. Shared usernames and passwords will not be supported in the new system.

This is a feature of your web browser (such as Google Chrome), not the Q Connect registration form. Your browser may suggest an email address that differs from your work email based on information it has previously saved.

You do not need to update or change these browser suggestions unless you choose to. Simply complete the registration form using your correct work email address and other work information. Any email address suggested by your browser has no impact on your Q Connect registration. Q Laboratories only receives the information that you intentionally enter into the form and does not have access to any personal email addresses or other autofill information stored in your browser.

If your organization does not allow access to Google Forms, we can collect your information another way. Simply complete the provided Excel User Registration Template and email it to qconnect@qlaboratories.com. Our team will process your registration from the information you provide.

Only individuals who need access to Q Connect should complete the form. This includes users who need to: View test results or reports, Submit samples, and access laboratory information. Individuals who do not require access, such as finance or accounting contacts who only receive invoices, do not need to register and may disregard the request.

Adding a new user is easy; simply have the individual complete the registration form. If you need to remove a user, email our team at qconnect@qlaboratories.com, and we’ll update your organization’s access.
